באדי חסייסי, פרופסור מן המניין, כיהן כיו"ר המכון לקרימינולוגיה, הפקולטה למשפטים, באוניברסיטה העברית. עבודתו מתמקדת באינטראקציה בין קהילות מיעוטים ומערכת אכיפת החוק, בשיטור, מניעה וטיפול בפשיעה חמורה, שיקום ותקון ומחקרי הערכה. פרופ' חסייסי גם מתמחה בקשר בין ביטחון לאומי ועבריינות פוליטית וטרור לבין פשיעה. הוא קיבל את פרס המאמר הטוב ביותר לשנת 2018 מטעם הארגון הישראלי למשפט והיסטוריה ואת פרס פתאל למצוינות במחקר משפטי וקרימינולוגיה. פרופ' חסייסי שימש גם כעורך המנהל של כתב העת Journal of Quantitative Criminology ומשמש כיו"ר הנוכחי של האגודה הישראלית לקרימינולוגיה.
